Which CMS are supported?

Any CMS available as a Docker image. Ghost, Strapi and Directus have official Docker images and run immediately on LAY7 cloud. WordPress, Payload CMS or other systems can also be deployed as containers.

Can I install Ghost themes and plugins?

Yes. Upload themes through the Ghost admin panel. For custom integrations or additional Node packages, create your own Docker image based on the official Ghost image.

How do I migrate existing content?

Ghost offers native import/export functions in the admin panel. Strapi and Directus store content in the database – you can import a database dump or use the API for migration.

How performant are the Strapi and Directus APIs?

API performance depends on the chosen container level. For most use cases, Level 4 or 6 is sufficient. For high traffic, scale up to higher levels with a click – without server migration.

Can I send newsletters with Ghost?

Yes. Ghost has newsletters and memberships built in. You configure email delivery via environment variables in the dashboard – for example with Mailgun or another SMTP provider.
